Islamabad, May 30, 2023, SPA – The Makkah Route Initiative, a Saudi Ministry of Interior project within the Pilgrim Experience Program, has achieved tangible success and accuracy in finalizing the travel procedures of pilgrims from Pakistan to the Holy Land. The Pilgrim Experience Program is one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
In remarks to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the supervisor of the terminal designated for the Makkah Route Initiative at Islamabad International Airport, Lieutenant Colonel Yasser Al-Ghamdi, said the initiative works to smoothly and conveniently finalize all travel procedures needed by pilgrims at the initiative-designated terminal.
Lieutenant Colonel Al-Ghamdi indicated that the pilgrims are received at the terminal before being distributed to counters to finalize their entry procedures into the Kingdom and then check their passports at the exit gate.
Al-Ghamdi noted that afterwards, they move to the waiting hall where their passports get verified again before boarding the plane.
Upon their arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, they are transported through designated routes to their residences, the Lieutenant Colonel revealed.
