Ministry of Islamic Affairs Inaugurates Custodian of Two Holy Mosques’ Gift Program for Distributing Dates and Iftar in Kenya and Senegal

Riyadh, March 27, 2023, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in the Republic of Kenya, has inaugurated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Program for Distributing Dates and Iftar. The Saudi Deputy Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, Nasser bin Mohammad Al-Faridi, the Acting Religious Attaché, Mohammed bin Mater Mahzri, and several Kenyan Islamic dignitaries attended the inauguration.
Al-Faridi praised the Ministry's efforts through the Saudi religious attachés for Muslims worldwide, especially during this holy month of Ramadan, expressing his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, for their support to Islam and Muslims in Kenya and around the world.
The weight of the dates to be distributed is 10 tons, while the Iftar program for Muslims will reach more than 15,000 people.
The Ministry, represented by the Islamic Higher Institute (IHI) in the Louga Region, North of Senegal, has also inaugurated the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Program for Iftar. The IHI Director, Sheikh Mansour bin Muadhd Al-Ajmi, Louga Region Governor, dignitaries, and IHI employees attended the inauguration.
The Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal, Sheikh Wahid bin Mohammad Majribi, commended the Saudi government's efforts in providing aid and support to Islam and Muslims, and the Ministry's professional manner in selecting beneficiaries for the program to ensure that a large number of deserving people can benefit from it.
Majribi added that the program is one of the projects presented to Muslims worldwide during the holy month of Ramadan and its significant impact on the Senegalese people, who expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous aid and assistance to Muslims worldwide.
